He whakawhiti kōrero

Kaiako: He aha te tukanga hei whakatika i tētahi pātai?

Ka pēhi i te pātene pene, ka puta mai he whārangi pātai. Ka taea te whakatika. Ka pēhi anō te pātene, kua tiakina ngā tīni.

Kaiako: Me pēhea te tīni tētahi o ngā pikitia kua whakamahia e koe?

Ākonga: Ko taua mahi anō, kimihia te pene i te taha matau. Panaia.

Mēnā kāore he kupu i roto i tētahi o ēnei pouaka, kāore e puta mai taua tau.

He aha ō rāua whakaaro e pā ana ki tāu patapatai nei?

Ākonga: E ai ki rāua, he pai te tere o ngā pātai. Ehara i te tino tere, i āhei rāua te pānui i mua i te puta mai o ngā whakautu. He pai ngā pātai ki a rāua. He pai ngā pikitia ki taku hoa. Ko tētahi mea uaua, i kī taku kaiako he uaua te titiro ki te pouaka whakaata me te pānui i te mata, kātahi ka titiro ki te papahiko kia panaia te pātene tika.

Kaiako: What is the process for correcting a question?

Ākonga: Find the question you want to change, e.g. question seven. There are three buttons; delete, adding a page the same as this one, and a correction button. The right button is the pen. You push the pen button, and it brings up the question page. You can fix it. You push the button again, and the changes are saved.

Kaiako: How can you change one of the pictures you have used?

Ākonga: You do the same thing again, find the pen on the right hand side. Push the pen button. The picture will come up, you can either remove or replace. That’s it. You change the picture, push the button, and it is saved.

Kaiako: How can you change the number of answers available for each question?

Ākonga: Again, push the pen button, here are the questions. If there are only four questions, you can delete or not fill one in. Only three questions will then come up. If there are no words in one of the boxes, that number won’t come up.

(N.B Although the word ‘question’ was used by the student, the answer boxes on the digital device were indicated by pointing with their fingers.)

Kaiako: Your Kahoot! was played and reviewed by two people. What was their feedback?

Ākonga: They said the pace of the questions was fine. It wasn’t too fast, they were able to read it before the answers came up. They like the questions. My teacher said they were relevant to our kaupapa Tūrangawaewae. My friend liked the pictures. One thing that was hard, my teacher said it was hard to look at the tv to read the questions and then to look at the tablet to push the right button.
